He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred and Catherine; and his brother George. He is survived by: his children, Michael Thomas (Kate) and Kate Cookson; his wife Kathryn Thomas; his stepchildren, Kelly (McNeill), Burnett (Clayton) and Justin McNeill (Kristen); his brother Mike Thomas (Judy); his nieces, Andrea Vogelweid and Kristin McGrain; and his grandchildren, Laney, Hadley, Brody Burnett and Liam McNeill.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the National Kidney Foundations KS, OK & Western MO, of Overland Park, KS.
