She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernie Chester and Margie Ella Sager (Sego). She is survived by: her husband Michael; her sons, John Preston Shanks, Michael Shannon Shanks and Christopher Caselman; and her siblings, Verna Joice Brown, Sharon Sue Mercer and Vern Chester Sager "Bud". She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
