It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Monroe of Plato, Missouri, born in Alton, Illinois, who passed away on January 22, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George William Monroe and Ruth Antrobus; his sons, Will and Eric; and his siblings, Paul, David, Ernie, Jimmy, Patsy and Mary.
He is survived by: his son Bill; his wife Annette Lane; his children, Larry, Billy, Jimmy, Mike Anderson, Beau McMahon, Larenie Licausi (Chuck), Kelly Fisher, Bobby Hearty, Trent Packer, Sherelle Hathaway and Deb McDowell; his siblings, Larry Monroe, Tom Alt (Debbie), George Beneke, Alice Bowling (Greg) and Bob Montgomery (Gloria); and his sister-in-law Lynette Shondel (Brian). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family of Bill Monroe.
