It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Johnnie Jay Sauer of Pittsburg, Missouri, born in Artesia, California, who passed away on February 20, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Sauer and Marian Sauer; his daughter Angela; his son-in-law Todd Barrone of Pittsburg, MO; and his grandchildren, Tiffany, David Meyer of Springfield, MO, Kaylynn, Jeffrey Rose of Urbana, MO, Doug Barrone of Pittsburg, MO, Megan Barrone of Pittsburg, MO and Elisa Merkle of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was also cherished by five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens' Research Hospital.
