He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Clyde Sutherland Sr. and Mildred Langston-Sutherland; his wife Mae Sutherland; his sister Joyce Keirn; and his brother-in-law Wayne Keirn.

He is survived by: his children, Lori Byrd (Lane) and Jeff Sutherland (Marla); his grandchildren, Cody (Jessica), Chris, Austin (Mikayla) and Alyssa; and his great grandchildren, Johnathan, Maverick, Ryker, Hanna and Micah. He is also survived by his family and friends.
