We bid farewell to Kennith Leroy Mathes (Pilot Knob, Missouri), born in Oates, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 17, 2025 at the age of 93. Kennith Leroy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otho Mathes and Gladys Mathes (Wood); his wife Erma Dean Short; his siblings, Guy Mathes and Doris Freeman; his son-in-law David Kuhlman; and his grandson Zach Gibson.
He is survived by: his children, Lee Ann Mathes, Pamela Bunta of Bismarck, Sharon Gibson of Bismarck, Brenda Kuhlman of Ballwin and Kent Mathes (Sally) of Ironton, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Nathan Gibson (Daisy), Jeremiah Williams, Joshua Williams (Rachael), Emily Sharp (Eric), Meghan Spitzmiller (Chris Spangler), Stephen Spitzmiller (Kayla), Sarah Marxkors (Joseph), Andrew Mathes (Annie) and Garrett Mathes (Brittany Phegley); and his sisters, Lavawn Sencibaugh (Jim) of Lesterville and Shirley Parker (Wimp) of Lesterville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Iron Mountain First Baptist Church (1284 Iron Mountain Cemetery Rd, Ironton, MO 63650). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Boss Cemetery (1573 State Hwy 32, Boss, MO 65440).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Iron Mountain First Baptist Church, or the Boss Cemetery.
