It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard William Gerke of Pilot Grove, Missouri, born in Boonville, Missouri, who passed away on December 1, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Gerke and Alice Gerke (Kemper); and his siblings, Frank Gerke, Paul Gerke, Anton Gerke, Jr., Robert "Bob" Gerke and Mascel Atwell.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Schuster of Pilot Grove; his children, Kevin Gerke (Melissa) of Columbia, MO and Stephanie Swearingen (Mark) of Columbia, MO; his grandchildren, Jackson, Ethan, Allie and Gabriel; and his siblings, Phil Gerke of Windsor, MO, Alice Stuff of Little Rock, AR and Karen Hill of Kalispell, MT.. He is also survived by his family, friends.
