She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Haley and Katie Haley (Babbitt); her husband Clarence Herman Ries; and her siblings, Marshall Ray Haley, James Leslie Haley, Mary Ellen Barron and Kathryn Schupp.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Ries of Jefferson City, John Ries of Dallas, TX, Kathy Grissum (Mike Lewis) of Pilot Grove and Carol Ries of Boonville; her grandchildren, Tim Grissum (Rebecca Wolf), Katie Grissum (Michael Neubauer) and Rusty Grissum (Katie); and her great grandchild Chloe Neubauer.
