He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Patsy Nelson (Shiflet) and Joe Vaughn Nelson; his wife Diana; his children, Travis Nelson (Kristina) of Salisbury, Joe Nelson Jr. (Shannon) of Little Kansas, Oklahoma, Danette Nelson of Pierce City, Buffy Badley (Ed) of Pierce City and Jeanette Spears of Grove, Oklahoma; his sisters, Sharon Durkin of Monett, Marsha Chapman of Miller, Marilyn Moss of Rogers, Susie Cummings of Grove and Kerry Wiseman of Pierce City; his pet Archie; his brother Roy Ingle; and his grandson Eric Nelson-Badley. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
