He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Nelson and Marilyn Nelson (Carlson). He is survived by: his wife Frances; his son Ryan Patrick Nelson of Thibodaux, Louisiana; and his brother Rodney Nelson of Fletcher.
In lieu of flowers memorials for Gregory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
