He was predeceased by: his parents, Toney Rhodes and Dessie Lee Howard (Piles); and his siblings, Toney, Jesse Howard, Virginia Kiser, Ruth Beiseman and Mabel Loucks.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ruble; his children, Steven Howard (Rebecca) of St. Louis, Jeffrey Howard (Tina) of Weston, Douglas Howard of Piedmont, Pamela Kiser (Jon) of Piedmont and Lisa Howard of Piedmont; his grandchildren, Jacy Kiser of Piedmont, Steven Howard Jr. (Taylor) of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Howard (Lyndsey) of Plant City, FL, Justin Howard of Weston and Margaret Howard of Weston; his great grandchildren, Katherine and Audrey Howard; and his brother Nelson Howard (Juanita) of Piedmont. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
