He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edgar and Martha Thompson (Montgomery); his wife Pauline Delores Sheets; his son Victor Thompson; his grandson Kyle Mowery; and his siblings, Ralph Thompson, Herb Radford, Berty Radford, Mirl Fears, Faye Sullivan, Berniece McIntre, Ava Hensley and Eula Wray.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Thompson (Pam) of Piedmont and Yvonne Wheelehon (Harry) of Piedmont; his daughter-in-law Mary Thompson of Piedmont; his grandchildren, Erica Huitt, Courtney Thompson, Haleigh Larkin (Dominic), Cory Thompson (Annie), Ben Thompson (Jennifer), Andrea Thompson, Doug Wheelehon (Angie), Jennifer Wheelehon (Don Osley), Scott Mell, Tina Bell and Laura Miller; his great grandchildren, Adrian Huitt, Kelsey Huitt, Jacob Thompson (Caitlin), Ellie Thompson, Isacc Thompson, Madelyn Thompson, Cyrus Burns, Jaxon Burns, Shane Chandler, Zoe Bell, DeLaney Larkin, Evan Dion, Colin Dion, Matt Osley and Ryan Osley; and his close friend Scooby. He is also survived by his family and friends.
