He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Tony Ray Shoemaker and Corene Shoemaker (McDowell); his grandparents, Cecil, Anna McDowell, Frank and Clara Shoemaker; his parents-in-law, Paul and Phyllis Van Noy; his in-laws, Verna and Raymond Roach; his brother-in-law Ben Van Noy; his pet Humphrey; his wife Denise Ann VanNoy; his son Dr. Matthew Shoemaker; his daughter-in-law Erin Wilson of Prairie Village; his grandson Gabriel Shoemaker of New York City, NY.; and also Corene. He was also cherished by his family and many friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Inc. - Piedmont (100 E Piedmont Ave, Piedmont, MO 63957). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Lewis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions can be made to Lewis Cemetery.
