She was predeceased by: her husband James Arliss Barnes Sr.; and her siblings, Austin Giffin, Irvin Giffin, Shirley Gray, Katherine Masters, Barbara Gilliam and Donna Midgett.
She is survived by: her children, James A Barnes Jr. of Perryville, Diane Grissom of Perryville, Deborah Orman Sr. (Bruce) of Perryville and Cheryl Barnes of Jonesboro; and her sister Beverly Vandiver of Park Hills. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren.
