He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Edward and Bessie Ashby (Grover); his son Michael E. Ashby Jr.; and his siblings, Jerry Ashby, Ray Ashby and Grace Britch.
He is survived by: his sons, Jason Ashby of Valle Mines, MO and Mark Ashby (Terin) of Irondale, MO; and his sisters, Lori Kramer (Steve) of Irondale, MO and Anna Ruth Dour of Park Hills, MO.
