He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo "Red" Menz and Pansy Howell Menz; his siblings, Janet Rooker (Ron) and Joe Menz; and also, Maurice Blanchette, Myrna Yarno and Matt Blanchette.
He is survived by: his wife Mina Blanchette Menz of Perryville; his sons, Jimmy Menz Jr. (Kristen Krieg) of Lowell and Jeffrey Menz of Bradley, Illinois; his grandchildren, Josephine, Margaret, Lorelai, Jimmy III, Hunter and Rowan; his sisters, Melba Groenewold (Steve) of Bourbonnais, Sharon Holland (late Danny) of Watseka, Illinois and Debbie Sims (late Donald) of Bourbonnais; his stepmother Helen Blanchette (late Maurice) of Bourbonnais; and also, Mark Blanchette (Mary Lou) of Kankakee, Illinois, Myra Emme (Jeff) of Chebanse, Illinois, Mary Antosz (Dennis) of Kankakee and Merl Blanchette of Chebanse. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
