He is survived by: his daughter Gina Vitale Fredericksburg (Joseph); his brother Gary Alms Chester (JoAnn); his grandsons, Jeffrey Alexander "Alex" Vitale (Angela) and Tyler Joseph Vitale; his great grandchild Dominick James Vitale; his nieces, Tiffany, Tara, Rachel, Lindsay and Kinzie; and his nephew Brad.
