He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Leake and Gladys Durbin Leake; his parents-in-law, John and Nelma Day; his daughter Terri Laird; and his siblings, Bill, Wayne, Tony, Mike, Bobby, Mae, Doris, Helen and Joyce.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kay Day; his sons, Jeff Leake (Kelly) of Perry, Scott Leake (Rhonda) of Perry and Kevin Leake (Shelly) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Colton Leake, Lindsay Anderson (Collin), Austin Leake (Bailey Plum), Dillion Laird (Shawna), Evan Laird (Tara Lane), Brooke Grove (Nathan) and Micha White (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Zane Grove, Addi, Lincoln Laird, Parker, Ava Anderson, Brylee Kite and Carson Laird; and his stepmother-in-law Ruthie Day.
