He is survived by: his spouse Jeneane Elsberry; his daughters, Erica Simpson Shaffer (Aaron) of Warrensburg and Emily Simpson Gares (Jeff) of Monroe City; his grandchildren, Hannah Shaffer, Madelynn, Maridith, Sophie, Sylvie Gares, Ben Shaffer and Samuel Gares; his sister Judy Heim (Bill) of Perry; his nieces and nephews, Wade Heim (Susan) of Peoria, Matthew Diffenderfer (Samantha) of Perry, Angie Heim and Ashley De Kock (Michael) of Phoenix; and his sister-in-law Jo Ann Diffenderfer of Perry.
