He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Hagedorn and Martha Hagedorn (Friday); and his son Steven Hagedorn. He is survived by: his wife Sue Hagedorn; his children, Terrie Hagedorn, Darlene Eiskina (Bill), Vickie Hagedorn, Susan Hagedorn and Tim Hagedorn (Nicole); and his grandchildren, Megan Hagedorn, Brett Eiskina, Jesse Eiskina, Troy Hagedorn and Ryan Hagedorn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Kansas City Police Department Care Team in care of Jennifer Miller at Violent Crimes Division, 1125 Locust, Kansas City, Missouri 64106.
