He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel J. Lawing and Claudia O. Lawing; and his grandson Alan Lawing. He is survived by: his children, Jonita and Gayle; his spouse Jean K. Lawing; his children, Pam Herrington (William) and Kerry Lawing (Terri); his sister Jonita Teghtnyer; and his grandchildren, Gretchen Ortiz (Cupe), Kyle Herrington (Rachel), Weston Herrington (Emily), Melina Herrington, Bradley Lawing, Kristan Gutierrez (David) and Jordan Galland.
