She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd William and Hilda Case (Bell); her spouse Gene Hughes; her son David Hughes; and her brothers, Floyd and Ross Case.

She is survived by: her children, Mark Hughes of Kansas City, MO, Matt Hughes (Carol) and Beth Miller (Jonathan) of Omaha, NE. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Mary Ellen Hughes Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
