He was predeceased by: his parents, O. C. Hillyard and Lillian Hillyard (House); and his siblings, Chester Hillyard and Maxine Davis. He is survived by: his daughter Leah of Excelsior Springs, MO; and his grandson Xavier Stone-Ryan of Portland, OR. He is also survived by one niece and three nephews.
