We are sad to announce that on December 21, 2021, at the age of 80, Walter M. Martin of Patterson, Missouri, born in Cairo, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter B. Martin and Emma Kay Martin (Morehead); and his siblings, Don, Steve Martin and Sherry Voigt.

He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Lewis; his children, Bobby Martin of Paducah, KY, Tammy Youngblood (Marty) of Mounds, IL, Christopher Young of Forest City, AR and Chad Young (Victoria) of Piedmont; his stepdaughter Melissa Martin (James) of Granite City, IL; his grandchildren, Cody Youngblood, Samantha Gihring (Zach Saggio), Isabella Hembhill, Meredith Young, Mikelya Young, Madyson Young, Maybre Young, Mckinley Young and Breanna Miller; and his brother Eddie Martin of Herrin, IL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephew, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ruegg Funeral Homes, Inc. in care of Walt Martin's service.
