Thomas Allen Obituary
Thomas Edward Allen, DVM, 70, of Patterson, MO, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born February 22, 2017 to the late, Ernest Louis Allen and E. Mabel (Vallance) Allen in East St. Louis, IL. Thomas is survived by his wife, Dawn Allen of the home; two sons, Nathaniel Allen of California and Joe Allen and his wife Brittney of North Carolina; one daughter, Jessica Hippely and her husband Tim of Edinboro, PA; two brothers, Lance Allen and his wife Rhonda of Stillwell, KS, and Byron Allen of OK; two sisters, Mary Evans and her husband Tom of Humble, TX, and Ernestine Mell of Patterson, MO; and three grandchildren, Audrey Sophia Allen, Gavin Dewey, and Cullen Dewey.
Thomas attended Texas A and M pre-vet school and was a graduate of MO Vet School receiving his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. His practice was limited to equine dentistry, authoring a book, "The Manual of Equine Dentistry", published by Elsevier Science, St. Louis. At this time there are no services to announce.
