He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond "Dick" and Opal Mell (Vincent); his sons, Richard "Rick" and Bradley Mell; his granddaughter Ariel Mell; his brothers, Bill Mell, Charlie Mell and Robert Leach; and his sister-in-law Kathy Leach.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian White; his children, Randy Mell of Patterson, MO and Vicki Mell of Ozark, MO; his daughter-in-law Larissa Mell-Young (Matt) of Piedmont, MO; his granddaughter Hannah Westmoreland (Jason) of Piedmont, MO; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Aiden and Kaisley Westmoreland; his sisters, Iva Lee Mell of Piedmont, MO, Ruth Ann Leach (Kenny) of Patterson, MO and Ellen "Poochie" Huff (Bill) of Piedmont, MO; and his sisters-in-law, Ernestine Waterholter (Mell) of Easley, SC and Sonja Mell of Patterson, MO..
