She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Ottis Andrew and Osa Mae Hughes (Buck); and her siblings, Herbert Hughes (Pearlie), Phillip Hughes (Alma), Wayne Hughes (Velma) of St. Louis, Orville Hughes of Piedmont, David Floyd Hughes of St. Louis, Sylvia Lane (Earl) of Piedmont, Juanita McMahan (Bob) of Piedmont and Minnie Ruth Darden (Marvin).

She is survived by: her spouse Bobbie Bennett Sr.; her son Bobbie Otto Bennett Jr. (Sharice) of St. Louis; her grandchildren, Bobbie Otto Bennett III and Briana Jean Bennett; and her sisters-in-law, Melva Seal of Piedmont, Linda Bennett of Piedmont, Geneva Evelyn Hand of Patterson, Jeri Vegyelek (Joe) of St. Louis and Sharon Sue Hughes of St. Louis.
