He was predeceased by: his parents, J. T. Hastings and Elsie Hastings; his siblings, James Hastings, Jessie Thurman and Ann Ross; and his daughter-in-law Brandy Cunningham.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Cunningham of Parma and Linda Hastings of Sikeston; his granddaughter Ashlei Hastings of Parma; his former wife Linda Hastings of Parma; and his siblings, Carol Hufford, Harvey Thurman, Bobby Thurman, Moman Thurman and Danny Thurman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
