He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hubert Harold and Ledie Bell Freeman Carter; his wife Frances Mae Nordin; his sons, Mickeal Lee Carter of Bernie, Landall Ray Carter (Dawna) of Dexter and Darrell Gene Carter of Malden; his grandchildren, Luke Carter, Abby Owens, Ross Carter, Kyle Carter, Summer Dunkin and Natalie Delahunt; and his sisters, Virginia Copeland (Leon) of Poplar Bluff, Alberta Hicks, Corriane Berry and Linda Gilmore. He was also cherished by ten great-grandchildren.
