He was predeceased by: his parents, Sonny Adkins and Marion Adkins (Ward); his sister Nina Washburn; and his stepdaughter Diane Williams. He is survived by: his wife Carol Johnson-Adkins (Rehkop); his children, Shawn Jones (Ron), Debbie Rowe and Gary Adkins, Jr.; his stepchildren, Randy Horridge (Linda), Shane Horridge (Connie) and Vickie Allard; his grandson Joshua; his great grandchild Viola; and his sister Karaen Spruel (Nathan).
