He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Homer and Marie Portell (Husk); and his siblings, Charlie Portell and Betty Mercille. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Portell (Sutton); his grandchildren, Courtney, Ryan, Kyle, Mason, Spike, Jennifer, Christine, Andrew and Sara; and his pet Duke. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
