He was predeceased by: his parents, John Malia and Louise Malia (Griffin). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Malia (Bone); his children, Brent Malia (Julie), Blake Malia (Stephanie), Renee Courtway (James) and Sara DeSpain (Mark); his grandchildren, Hannah, James, Collin, Abigail, Aiden, Kennedy, Alex, Isabelle, Issac, Billy, Chloey and Lillianna; and his brother John "Pat" Malia (Linda).

Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
