With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sonja Kay Erwin of Paris, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sonja Kay left this world on February 5, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Sonja Kay may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elliott Jones and Mildred Henning Jones; and her husband David Erwin. She is survived by: her children, Doug Erwin (Tina) of Paris, MO and Kim Hill of Paris, MO; her brother Kenneth Jones of Florida; her niece Kerrie Jones of Florida; and her pet Ohno. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Agnew Funeral Home (128 W Caldwell St, Paris, MO 65275). A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Walnut Grove Cemetery - Paris (20573 State Hwy 15, Paris, MO 65275).
