He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Thomas Tanzey and Emma Lee Tanzey (Smith); and his brothers, Stanley W. Tanzey and Charles Lee Tanzey. He is survived by: his wife Doris Ann Vanlandingham; his children, William Howard Tanzey (Carla) of Mexico, JoAnn Curtright (Thom) of Palmetto Bay and Patricia Annette Tanzey (Alan Wachter) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Aimee Curtright of Pittsburgh, Lauren Curtright (Dan Coplen) of Atlanta, Jessica Curtright (Jackson Truax) of Portland, Collin Tanzey (Syra Chardon) of Cairo and Jordan Vaughn (Trenton) of Columbia; his stepgrandson Bryan Wachter (Linda) of Glen Allen; his great grandchildren, Ella, Camille Curtright Washburn of Pittsburgh, Ellie and TJ Vaughn of Columbia; and his stepgreat-grandsons, Patrick Wachter of Oakland, Christian Wachter of Williamsburg and Alejandro Chardon of Cairo, Egypt.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
