He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Pryor Schappaugh and Helen Grace Schappaugh (Spaits); his siblings, Earl Schappaugh (Lorene), Erlene Schappaugh Romans (Virgil), Faye Schappaugh Heilman (Clarence), Loren Schappaugh (LuAnn), Lois Schappaugh Ritthaler, Dorothy Schappaugh Claton (Everett), Carol Schappaugh Hillman (Curt), Evelyn Schappaugh Lhamon and Gloria Schappaugh Colson; his daughter Marsha Maxine Schappaugh Ziegenbein; and his nieces and nephews, Diana Kay Romans, Linda Faye Heilman Goodman, Holly Colson Killion, Timmy Claton and Ricky Romans (Robyn Schappaugh).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Rae Murrell; his son Scott Allen Schappaugh (Sarah Mevissen) of Hannibal, MO; his mother-in-law Martha Murrell of Brookfield, MO; and his brother-in-law John B. Murrell (Susie) of Linneus, MO. He is also survived by brothers-in-law.
