She was predeceased by: her parents, John Avery and Ethel Avery (Wiggins); her husband Jack Emmite, Sr.; and her siblings, Michael Avery, John Avery, Jr., Thomas Avery, James Avery, Joyce Ann Avery and Mary Claire Mayfield.
She is survived by: her children, Jack Emmite, Jr. (Melinda) of Hannibal, MO, Thomas Emmite (Peggy) of Charleston and Elizabeth Emmite of Palmyra, MO; her grandchildren, Jenny Manzke (Bob), Lindsay Emmite and Daniel Emmite; her great grandchildren, Meredith, Micah, Gwendolyn and Marshall; her siblings, Kathleen Gore, Susan Pierson and Fred Avery; and her sister-in-law Ann Avery.
