With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maxine Devlin Wavering of Palmyra, Missouri, who passed away on May 7, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Kroeger and Mary U. Rothweiler Kroeger; her husband Larry Wavering; her siblings, Fred, Herbert, JB Kroeger, Delores Whelan, Florence Shupe, Mildred Kroeger and Mary Hirner; and her great grandchild Brandon Devlin.
She is survived by: her children, Regina Hastings (David) of Palmyra, MO, Craig Devlin (Carol) of Palmyra, MO, Jeff Devlin (Rhonda Magruder) of Palmyra, MO, Tracy Devlin (Melissa) of Jacksonville, IL, Geri Beery (Rod) of St. Charles, MO and John Devlin (Becky) of Palmyra, MO; and her stepchildren, Steve Wavering (Lynn) of Quincy, IL, Jeff Wavering (Julie) of Rockford, IL, Linda Willing (Larry) of Quincy, IL and Sue Bergman (Dave) of Quincy, IL. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews.
