We are sad to announce that on November 2, 2024, at the age of 72, John C. Potterfield of Palmyra, Missouri, born in Monroe City, Missouri passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John C. Potterfield to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry George Potterfield and Dorothy L. Johnston Potterfield; his sisters, Mary Potterfield Schaller and Anita Potterfield Smith; his father-in-law Robert Higgins; his brothers-in-law, Ron Schaller and Bud Bremmer; his nephews, Tony, Timmy Lugena and Stephen Lugena; and his niece Angela Schaller.
He is survived by: his siblings, Bill Potterfield (Dimple) and Carolyn Bremmer; his mother-in-law Bernadine Higgins; his siblings-in-law, Mike Higgins (Anne), Jeff Higgins and Connie Romans (Tim Lynch); his aunt Mary Lou Totsch; his pets, Willow and Donkey; and also, Jesse White and Fred Kespohl. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the James O'Donnell Life Celebration Home (545 Stoddard St, Monroe City, MO 63456). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the O'Donnell-Thurman Life Celebration Home (545 Stoddard St, Monroe City, MO 63456).
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Vernon Church, Maple Lawn Auxiliary, or Monroe City Nutrition Center.
