It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James W. Cissna of Palmyra, Missouri, born in Hannibal, Missouri, who passed away on August 28, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Cissna and Mary Byrd Cissna; his nephew Will Obermann; and his grandson Baby Boy Cissna. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Taylor; his children, Lynn Hillman (Kevin) of Palmyra, MO, Jill Nutt (Les) of Palmyra and Jeff Cissna (Kinsey) of Palmyra, MO; his sister Kay Obermann (Jon) of Hannibal, MO; his grandchildren, Jonathon Nutt (Katie), Jordan Nutt, Taylor Barrett, Gabi Cissna and Jersey Cissna; and his great grandchildren, Edie Nutt, Willa and Miles Cull-Barrett.

Memorial contributions may be made to either Shriners Hospital or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
