He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy James and Opal James; his brother Edward James; and his grandson Sean James. He is survived by: his wife Linda James of Palmyra, MO; his sons, Darin James of Denver and Kevin James (Christy) of Palmyra, MO.; his grandchildren, William, Thomas, Anna and Christian James; and his siblings, Clem James (Linda) and Beverly Forney (Gene). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
