He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Schutte and Ora May Schutte (Genteman); his wife Alberta Lucille Spillman; and his brother Russell Schutte. He is survived by: his children, Charles E. Schutte (Susie) of Palmyra, MO, Thomas E. Schutte of Hannibal, MO and Mark E. Schutte of Quincy, IL; his grandchildren, Matt Schutte (Ellen), Stephanie Shelton, Jill Duppong (Clint), Dominic Schutte (Maria Pansini), Carrie Schutte (Wade Fisher), Marci Garvey (Patrick) and Kathy Schutte; his great grandchildren, Abigail Schutte, Emily Ewing (Quinton), Owen Shelton, Tanner Duppong, Caley Duppong and Cody Garvey; his great great grandchild Robert Dean Ewing; his siblings-in-law, Robert Spillman (Leota Christ) of Quincy, IL and Mary Weitnauer of Quincy, IL; and his niece Jean Kindhart.
