It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Walter A. Schlemper of Pacific, Missouri, who passed away on November 2, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold G. Schlemper and Sophie; and his brother Richard Schlemper. He is survived by: his wife Therissa Schlemper of Pacific; his children, Michael Schlemper, CarolAnn Russell-Wething (Dave) of Bemidji, MN, Carol Shoemaker (Eric) of Pacific and Amy Fifer (Steve) of Pleasant Hill, MO; his brother Ralph Schlemper (Susan) of St. Louis; his grandchildren, Heidi Todd (Michael), Jesse Shoemaker (April Brandt), Josef Schlemper and Zoey Schlemper (Marisa); his great grandchildren, Augustus Shoemaker and Ila Shoemaker; his sister-in-law Billie Ellen Schlemper of Pacific; his niece Deborah Brandt (Thomas); and his nephews, Kenneth Schlemper (Cheryl), Karl Schlemper (Lori) and Kevin Schlemper (Tiffany). He is also survived by great-nieces and nephews, cousins, loved ones, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thiebes Funeral Home (231 E Union St, Pacific, MO 63069). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors or Backstoppers of Franklin County.
