He was predeceased by: his parents, James Riley and Opal Pemberton; his siblings, Glen (Louise), Bobby, Eula, Euna, Zella (John) and Reba (Junior); and his brothers-in-law, Roy Gibbs and Ed Hicks.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Pearl Adams; his daughter Debbie Wright (Randy); his grandchildren, Bill Pemberton (Pam), Tammy Espowe, Jr. Pemberton (Laura), Jessica Livengood and Mike Pemberton; his siblings, Shirley Gibbs, Alice Hicks and Butch Pemberton; and his sister-in-law Sharon Pemberton. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and a host of family members and friends.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Gray Summit Lions Club or to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
