He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Bowen and Bertha May Bowen; his wife Carolyn G. Bowen; his daughter Deborah Hanning; and his siblings, Dorothy Bowen, Myrtie Bowen, Gale Bowen, Ira Bowen, Lois Bowen, Georgia Mae Bowen and William Bowen.
He is survived by: his brothers, Roger and Roy Bowen; his children, Lester "Joe" Bowen Jr. (Gloria) and Brenda Martinez; and his grandchildren, Eduardo Bowen Martinez, Jessica LaPée, Wayne Cook, Kenny Cook, Brian Bowen, Malaya Bowen, Brandi Brumbalow (Hanning) and Eric Anthony Hanning. He is also survived by 17 beautiful Great-Grandchildren.
