He was predeceased by: his sons, Gregory Kaleb and Jared; and his sisters, June and Kathy. He is survived by: his wife Rose Mary Kummer (Wagner); his children, Stephen Kummer (Donna), Lori Dauster (David), Randy Kummer and Marci DeCuir (Darren); his grandchildren, Erik (Katelyn), Ami (JD), Hailey, Linsey, Elijah, Tanner, Reagan, Carly and Riley; his great grandchild Lucy Mae; and his brothers, Donald Kummer (Martha), Edward Kummer (late Jane) and David Kummer (Joanne). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
