He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Gorry (Alice); his sister Kathleen Grimes; and his close friend Kay Culbertson. He is survived by: his stepson Jeremy Taylor (Tammie); his half-brothers, Pete Brown (Lynne) and Thomas Brown (Becky); his sister Mary Dewalle; his brother-in-law Tom Grimes; and his grandchildren, Julia, Evelyn and Michael. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations are appreciated to the Missouri Department of Conservation.

“John Gorry was a friend of mine. I knew him from grade school until the end. We were roommates in an apartment on Gravois while in college. John had a kind and witty soul and he enjoyed the interactions of his friends and the journeys we undertook. We enjoyed spinning a tales ,playing and listening to music and going on adventures together. He loved Kay unconditionally. They made the most of life and enjoyed the “long strange trip” the “long and winding road” together. Love Always, Rob Stout”
