He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Riley Speakes, Sr. and Josie Ellen Speakes; his son Gary Speakes; his siblings, Elmer Speakes, John Speakes, Pleasant Speakes, Sabert Harrell, Myrtle Agnew and Daisy Kopf; and his grandson Brian Speakes.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Speakes of Pacific, MO; his son Mike Speakes (Amy) of Robertsville, MO; his daughter-in-law Rita Speakes of Belleville, IL; his sister Mary Ashworth of Catawissa, MO; his sister-in-law Linnie Speakes of Evansville, IN; and his grandchildren, Dr. Mikaela Speakes (Pat Frailey) of Pittsburg, PA and James Speakes of St. Clair, MO. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
