He was predeceased by: his former wife Edda Westcott Knell; his son Dwayne Knell; and his siblings, Fred Knell, Frank Knell, Deloris and Emma Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Imogene Bunch Knell; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Day (T. J.) and Ian Knell; his great grandchildren, Josey Beth and Jacie; his daughter-in-law Mary Beth Calkin (Barry); and his stepdaughters, Tina White (Steven) and Trina Jaeger (Pat). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
