He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy Smith and Elizabeth Smith (Strole); his grandparents, William "Bill", Lucy Smith and Virginia; his wife Betty JoAnn Smith (Pamperien); his siblings, Mary Francis Poole and Marion "Sonny" Smith; his children, Rick Smith (Suzie), Rhonda Curry and Joe Smith (Shelley); his granddaughters, Allison Rust (Chris), Whitney Bailey (Greg), Skyler Smith and Taylor Curry (Cody); his great grandchildren, Alec, Alexis, Mila, Emerson, Maren and Apollo; and his niece Missy Dugger. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to Wounded Warriors or a charity of your choice.
