Ray Downing Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ray Downing of Ozark, Missouri, born in Warrensburg, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Downing and Betty Downing (Martin); and his brother Don Downing. He is survived by: his wife Leca Henderson (Carr); his children, Dawn Solis Toldedo (Ricardo) of Des Moines, Iowa, Daniel Carr (Danielle) of New Tampa and Michael Downing of Des Moines, Iowa; his grandchildren, Ricky Ray Solis Downing, Romeo Enedino Sol Downing, Leighton Lee Carr and Everleigh Marie Carr; his brother David Downing (Kris) of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and his sister-in-law Dianna Downing of Kearney, Missouri. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Barnes Family Funeral Home (1700 S 15th Ave, Ozark, MO 65721). The military honors was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804).
